Hi guys

Had a short session on the south coast yesterday evening as the weather gods decided to ignore what our local met office had instore for us.

I'd been fishing for about 40 mins (3 lure changes later) when i clipped on a jointed thunderstick. I've always thought he had the most attractive wiggle of all my lures, but had yet to earn his keep. Anyway, 3 casts later and bang, a feisty little bass was fighting like mad at the end of the line. A short whike after, and no more hits on the JTS, I clipped on a feed shallow again. Within a couple of casts I was amazed to see my lure fly about a foot out of the water, followed by another bass chasing it, boy he must have clonked it.

So, good fun for a little session. I think I'll have another go tonight.

Rockfish in August should be really good.
IKA's ?

Why not. Cuttles too maybe. They are everywhere late August so a few weeks shouldn't hurt.
Night plugging for Bass in the gutters can be awesome, and warm ! These are usually the nights that we find Bass in VERY shallow water.
Belly crawling with fly rods etc...
