Finished work nice and early today and went on the hunt for some wrasse. It was super sunny and it was so nice to just be around the sea.

On the walk to my mark I bumped into this little lizard soaking up the sun! Got down to my mark and it didn't take too long before I was into a fish!

The first one wasn't massive but it gave a GREAT account of itself! Landed and released........

Then the second fish hit and went to ground, it was brilliant!! I have been using my TR4 for all my wrassing and it such good fun!

I think I had about 6 fish altogether, I may of even had one that was around, if not bit bigger then my 2'8 but Callum still has my scales (gutted) lol. Then my last bite was awesome, I did strike but it all went light and when I reeled in, I found half my sakura slayer gone! That was a good fish!

Anyway report done, I'll be out AGAIN tomorrow looking for a bigger one lol.

I have to add the pictures in two goes

Rich

Ritchie - that is a top trip so well done. Looks like a blast. That really is an awesome picture of the lizard too! Did all the fish take on the shrimp colour lure?

Cheers Tim. The first fish was on a purple x-layer but I lost a couple and changed to the shrimp one and the last fish were on the sakura slayer things in clear.

Splitty and jighead Ritchie??? You're really getting the hang of them now! Love the green one in the 5th photo
Cheers Tim its a good picture eh! The splitty was because I lost ALL my bigger jigheads and where I was there was a wee bit of wind and swell running and I wanted to hold the bottom.

Great stuff Ritchie. I was going to buy some purple xlayers, but they've run out. So I'm off to town to get a red hoodie to see if that makes the difference. :-D

Well done Ritchie. You seem to have got the knack.
Not sure about that Paul. I went out today and BLANKED! I lost a good fish which was abit odd as it was I'm sure it was defiantly hooked? and had loads of bites but I was always one step behind the fish..... All I got from the session was cold and this picture.

We DEFIANTLY got wrasse bites but over the otherside those bites felt more like taps then wrasse bites? They could have been bream or something? Do bream have teeth? I had small mouth marks all over my baits?
