Out towards Icho today I am sure I spotted **** out there today, We had 6 fish all between 2.5lbs to 3.5lbs mostly caught in short spells with long gaps between them. All fish today fell to red gills which makes a change from other plastics.

Tide pulled a long way out today the height of the tide being 39ft we shall see what tomorrow brings but fishing with a novice tomorrow

Well done again, Alan. Sad to hear **** struggled. It's been hard over here for me too - small fish only....

Well done Alan. Boy, that tide really did seem to go a long way out today. I went for a walk with the wife along St Caths this afternoon and was surprised how many heads were showing, especially around the Fara.

Total waste of time? Are you nuts?

A few years ago, to preserve my self esteem, and to cope with the family ridicule that inevitably came with every blank, I developed a mantra which is now a family joke in itself- and still cuts it with my fishing permissions officer.

"No time spent fishing is ever wasted".
