A question regarding a forum rule.

Just a question regarding one of the forum rules of not posting reports or photos of any by-catch caught during a closed season. As I am in Australia, I am not aware of your closed seasons and therefore do not want to post photos when I shouldn’t.

The only fish I am likely to catch here that you have in the UK is perch and trout. Is there is a closed season for these species in the UK? If so, can you please tell me when it is so I do not post pics when I shouldn’t?

Thanks in advance

Jim

First of all, I have to catch one!!!!! I wondered if by chance I put up some trout pics for instance in your closed season, it may influence some people to do the wrong thing and go and chase them. Not knocking members here but my experience with forums here (in Oz) is...you always get the good active members who follow the rules, then you get the 'lurkers' who, well don't follow the rules. Happy to put pics up anyway (when I get some) if nobody has any issues.
fire away, its only fish caught out of season where they are caught, just cos it may be out of season here as long as its in season in Aus....no problem !
Agree with the above Jim, if the closed season doesn't apply to you post away.
Jim just follow the Ozzie rules and we'll all be pleased to see you getting some success for your efforts. Personally, I'd like to see some of those Murray cod you've spoken about, but trout will do just fine too.
You post whatever you catch Jim be nice to see some different fish, the worst you will do is make us all envious

As for them that will go out to catch out of season fish will do it regardless we all know the bylaws

And good luck to them trying to catch a barramundi in a river round here
