The next stage of the fisheries consultation is in the form of a series of questions found here

http://www.alderney.gov.gg//Fisheries-Consultation

Please take a few minutes to have a look, and if you feel inclined reply.

It can be done by email or by post before the 31st August.

We are one step closer to returning Alderney to the Mecca for sport fishing it once was.

Thanks

H Dicky,
Some action at last...:-D:-D I have to say that the Merchant Fishing Vessel lobby is pretty strong, there are more questions about the fishing charter boats and anglers than there are about the fishing boats...but isn't that about right. Will fill it out and send it on later......

Yeah, the commercials want the charter boats banned, but that would have a disastrous effect on tourism.

Thanks for your support Trev.

Cheers Steve, you obviously remember what it was like before I came here.

Copies of the paper will be in the post for you, and all Festival comers.

It's not favoritism, just that we've got your addresses!

Thanks all>

All done, e-mailed Alderney states today. It will make interesting reading. One thing i tried to impress on them is the long benefits of looking after your fish for angling & eco tourism, as opposed to the short term tax they might make from a couple of fisherman.Went for total ban on trawling &
gillnetting inside the 3 mile limit as well.
