Anyone have any preferences for SP's for surface work, either slow sliding or walking the pooch? Also any recommendations for adding weight to aid casting without forcing the lure down deep?

Senko's, Slug-go (el salt O), Slug O, Giant Xlayer all work as surface, just subsurface lures without any weight other than hook and lure.

Mike, it was a Hazedong Magnum on a texan hook. Fairly flies out if the wind is being friendly. You can work it at any level too.

The lures I mentioned Mike don't need any added weight.

A decent sized Offset shank or my preference, a straight shanked hook pegged put into say, a 5" Senko will weight 10g plus.
They cast like rockets on thin lines.
