I may have an opportunity to get a new Daiwa Branzino More Than 3000 for the same price as a new Stella 4000 FD (with spare 4000 spool included), and wondering what you would advise me going for? It would be to go on my 240 Rod Bar.

Or are there new models about to come out that I would be better off waiting for? I know they have both been around a few years now.

The offer price for both is £350 each.

The trouble is, I need to make my mind up within a week, or the opportunity will be gone.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

It has to be the Branzino.
Iv'e just invested in one and think its fantastic and very light. The only thing I would say is that it should come with a spare spool for that sort of money.
The 3000 size will be a perfect match for your 240.
That has to be the very best 'set up' that you can get,,,,awesome.

Nick, supplying the reels without a spare spool is a Japanese thing and even the JDM Stella comes without one.

I do think its a bit mean of them, mind you I think the price of the spool is about £100+.

Stunning piece of engineering though.
