Most of them will do it. You just need to select 'Macro' mode (it's the icon with the little flower).Bassorama said:Can anyone recommend a good point and shoot digital camera that takes good shots of lures up close?
Less than £100 if poss.
Thanks.

Really? I have an old Olympus 6mp cam and on all 3 macros choices it's rank with close ups. It must be me.Lewisman said:Most of them will do it. I took the photo below with my current Pentax Optio S5i in Macro Mode. It's a 5MP camera which has long since been superceded. Some of the other camera's in that range are available on Amazon for around £70 with 7 - 10MP . . . .

Pretty easy . . . i just sat the plug on the top of my (closed) laptop . . which is black - that looked good. I then used Photoshop to select the background and blacken it further.Bassorama said:How did you get the black background lewisman?
Ah ok, thanks. I've always wanted Photoshop but its like £300 odd quid isn't it and I'd probably end up throwing my laptop out the window because I wouldn't be able to get the hang of it. Bit like that awful Excel program. And clingfilm. Clingfilm is the work of the devil as far as I'm concerned.Lewisman said:Pretty easy . . . i just sat the plug on the top of my (closed) laptop . . which is black. Only kidding Si - that's a fine "Welsh" physique you have and I am working in mine as we speak. Be good to see if you can get some underwater shots of some bass this season - adds another dimension doesn't it?
