I have Si, I borrowed it from a good friend (who is a director for airflo!!!) loaded it with fly boxes, reels, tippets, jacket, food etc when i fished on the kola peninsula wearing 6-8 hours a day and was superb as the gear does not weigh heavy and was balanced better than my rapala sling bag. for lure fishing i think it would be an awesome bit of kit. :D

I don't think i could ever justify buying one of those top of the range chest packs, so i think i would probably go for one of these, http://www.monstertackle.co.uk/fishingl ... -pack.html has anyone tried them? as they seem very reasonably priced...
But Marc, that one will clash with your tenryu mate, have you no fashion sense at all

If your looking for a good Chest Pack, several members of the board have had good things to say about the Sakura Chest Pack. I am pretty sure it works out cheaper than many of those listed above.

Check out Patricks comments (and pic) on the Sakura about half way down this page:

Might have to get one for next season, will hopefully stop me braining myself everytime I have to jump off a rock.

I just tried to order something and they insist that Channel Islands pay VAT (so how come Amazon etc take it off) and they want £50 to deliver here. Not even a rod!! That's really taking the piss, I could nearly fly there and collect it for less than that. There are also no concessions to the postal rate. it is what it is, if you don't like it don't order. So I didn't.

My money is as good as anyone in the UK, why should I be ripped off.

marc ive just bought the snowbee chest pack and the backpack.lots of pockets and ultra light....but be careful mate if you are goin to buy a back pack aswel, check the fittings of the back pack as the old stock back packs fastners dont match and cant be connected to the chest pack, but together its a decent kit.rehydration can be put into the back.i had a look at the fishpond ones, really nice but chose snowbee cos its lighter and easier to dry out, cheers daz

Gents,

Anyone tried either of these . . . . .

I particularly like the concept of the version with the Hydration pack, as i currently use a seperate Hydration pack, but the other one looks potentially more comfortable.
I have been looking at these for a bit now.
I have loads of Orvis products and clothing and even though you do pay a lot the quality is very 'high end'.
Check out the waist pack.
