When you are drop shotting, I mean proper Drop Shotting, with the weight at the bottom and no snood, do you anchor or drift? I cant see how it would be possible doing it on the drift see. I want to try this in the sea, anywhere from in a marina to 100ft of water.

You can dropshot on the drift. It wouldn't work at anchor, you'd need much more lead.

This is the dilema I have been thinking about, thats why I thought I would ask the fresh water guys how they do it. Surely on the drift it isnt proper drop shotting....? I mean getting that lure to dance and shake in one spot.

When we are vertical SP fishing the lures are traveling up and down but also along with the drift. No dilemma. It still works.

Plus there are ways and means of fishing more static, even if the boat is drifting. You just cast uptide and retrieve slack as you approach the lure.
