Hi all, in need of some help planning a trip.

As I don't expect to get much action on lures until June or July up here in the North East I was thinking of doing a weekend away a little earlier as I'm busting to get out plugging again.

I was thinking of a trip down to Cornwall for a weekend and have found I can get return flights from Newcastle to Newquay for £80. It also looks like I can hire a car for a couple of days for about £60 - 70 which would also serve as accommodation, so £150 ish for a weekend doesn't sound so bad, especially if I can get a mate to come along and share the car hire costs. (May get smelly though).

My question is, how early in the year would it be worth coming down and have a reasonable chance of catching a few fish? I was thinking sometime in April or May, is this too early?

Cheers

Pete

I got my first one in March this lasy year Pete. Consider myself much more competent now as well so I imagine the fish were probably there earlier - despite me trying. If you came down in April or May then I'm sure there would be fish about. Plenty I'd imagine.
