Has anyone made any epoxy jig heads yet? Like the ones in this post: http://www.thelureforum.com/showthread.php?t=3663&p=58252&viewfull=1#post58252

What kind of epoxy would you use?

I'm not sure as to the reason for using a resin as it is lightweight and therefore I cannot understand the use unless for
LRF or positioning an SP in a particular way. I have access to waterfroof resin for electrical installation underground. It is black and I would think the clear resin would soon yellow. You could try building up layers of UV resin, therefore neigating the moulding need and you can fine tune the head shape to your requirements. Many of my flies have heavy heads encapsilating titanium or lead wire for weight.

Just the ticket GB, I'll be having words on you :)
Yes, see below
Alright Nick, very nice mate, what tool do you use to get the twist in the wire, and what gauge wire do you use? Also those books look a lot better than those krog ones you get on the originals, what are they? Cheers

I use a simple pair of pliers to gain the twist, gauge of wire would be 1mm. The Hooks used were VMC 7361 (i think)

Jake no need for any heat resistant RTV , these are epoxy heads ;)
Cheers Nick, I'll be using the mould for both epoxy and lead so saves me making two different ones
