Have got a few meetings in Exeter tomorrow, but first one's not until 11 & high tide's at 7am, so i thought i may sneak an early trip in but haven't a clue where to start down there
Anyone got any experience of the area?
thanks in advance

I was a student down there 20 years ago but never did any fishing sadly. I know there are bass and flounder in the river and down the very far end of the main beach there are some good rocks and reefs. Sidmouth may be better, but it's further from Exeter of course....

Hi Jeremy I lived in Dawlish for 18 years Fishing into the main channel casting towards Dawlish Warren can be good at times More so in the summer Try right down the far end of the beach at Exmouth [ left ] Or go into Sandybay through the holiday camp there is a nice reef to the right Failing that try Dawlish Warren and walk towards Exmouth right to the point and back around on yourself so as you are fishing into the river Had a lot of success on the smaller minnow size lures and Mag popper
