A couple of posts in the Shout Box last night got me thinking about some of my favourite films.

I was talking to a guy i work with yesterday, and he hadnt seen "The Shawshank Redemption" or "The Green Mile", and i was simply staggered, as i regard them as two absolute classics, not be me missed!!

Anyway a few of my fav films of all time (in no particular order) . . . . . . .

  • Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrells
  • Original Star Wars Trilogy (esisodes IV to VI)
  • The Usual Suspects (only first time around though)
  • Goodfella's
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • Shawshank Redemption
  • Indiana Jones - Raiders of The Lost Ark
  • James Bond - Live & Let Die
  • Jaws (only the first one)
  • The Big Blue (love that film)
  • The Deer Hunter
  • Twin Town
  • Heat (with Al Pacino & Robert DeNiro)
  • Top Gun (still a classic)
  • From Dust Till Dawn (Classic scene with Cheech Marine outside the Strip Club)
There are others.

What do you guys regard as classics ???

Belive it or not one of my fav films is a spoof thriller called Werewolf On Wheels. I think that it was made back in the early seventies. About a group of Bikers who predictably turned into werewolves after dark.

Not a cinematic classic I grant you...... but funny as ####

Also Irma la Duce ( or sometihng like that I was only young at the time, so cant remember the spelling) But it starred Jack Lemon and Shirley Macain. I had such a crush on Shirley after that for years.....:wackit2:

More recently

Crouching tiger hidden dragon
Lord of the rings

Less recently
All the Cheech and Chong Films  ha ha ha ha ha hah a a good times

Couple of good oldies there, Steve. Where did you dig up the Wanderers? Cracking film.
Enemy at the Gates is pretty great too. Very austere...
