Softie, this the reality of "cheap" supermarket meat. As long as the British housewife shops based on price alone, the industry will be pushed by supermarkets to these extremes. I am lucky enough to have bought my own smallholding where we produce our own chickens, turkeys, pigs and lambs for our freezer. Might be deeper than just the 'cheap' versions Tim, all supermarket 'meat' is the same, unless you buy from a butcher you know who sources his meat directly, then humanely slaughters it himself. Shame you don't have your own dairy cows....I'd buy milk from you.
