What a gorgeous morning its been, got on the mark at about 6.45 this morning to find a complete flat calm and a very slight breeze, not ideal but as expected, and once the sun came up it was absolutely lovely. After 3 moves on the mark and a couple of lure changes, got nailed by this

She went 2lb 12oz and although not a monster a respectable fish IMO, she gave a real good account of herself maybe due to the fact that there was only 4ft of water. As this is my first ever Wrasse on a lure I was well chuffed. As I am yet to break into the myriad that is SP`s was not expecting a Wrasse.
Lure was the tried, tested, trustworthy old reliable – Maria Chase BW Cotton Candy, which always seems to stay in the go to box.
Cheers

Nice one Steve! As one who also had my first wrasse on lures this year (west country) I just wish there were more wrasse marks in Sussex. They go like stink! Great fun!
