Guys, sort of fishing, my fishing vans internal light has died. Got the bulb out but it's an odd one...

What kind of bulb is this so i can find a new one? Just says LIFE 12v 8w on it but searching the net for the voltage and wattage is drawing a blank, or rather it's giving me about 50,000,000,000 results, none of which are very helpful!!

hi andy,
this type of bulb is known as a wedge lamp, if you find a good electricians supplyer they may be able to help
(but you may have to buy 10!) their often used in garden lighting, but ive only found them 3w and 5w hope this helps.

That type of bulb is normally used in the lights to illuminate your rear number plate. Really common any auto parts shop will have them.

Andy our Toyota Rav 4 has that type of fitting on the brake light bulbs, they are a standard auto light bulb
