Do Pollack (etc) seem to fear head torches as much as bass do? In the harbour they obvioulsy love the light, but what's the consensus is the pitch black? I'm guessing the hardcore night pluggers will not use it anyway, but is there a necessity to be so careful about shining light on the water?... if it's controlled?

Cool. If it could be used then its obviously much easier when scrambling over rocks (although I know you're a trained owl and will probably disagree). Just checking.

Moving around is fine Ben. We do it over rocks. In gutters, no.

Changing lures, just turn well away from the water and use red or even better (so we've heard), green light.

Not so sure about small pollack Ben. I've noticed a lot of guys with their torches switched on swinging them in.

Thanks guys. Just checking on the boundaries. I do need to sort out a red/green filter actually.
