Hi too everyone on here.
This is only my second post on here,my first was 30 seconds ago too say cheers(Happy B'day Nathan), Thats me!!
Anyway been reading and learning loads off this great forum for a while (and the other one before it went tit's up),
but never got round too posting. Before i give a little info on myself just wanted too say cheers too all you
hardcore posters/pluggers that have educated and inspired me in equal measure, and have kept me goin through a
long cold winter while the sea is poo coloured.
Anyway i'm Based in Colwyn Bay/Conwy N.Wales. Been fishing forever but started plugging for Bass about 4 years ago, with mixed success. Work and weather dont always agree with my plans!!
I'am lucky enough too live right on the coast, and what a coast it is. Truly special imho.
Topwater lures are my biggest passion, it all started with a little(100mm)ghost green Sammy and ive not looked back
or stopped spending since. I gennerally fish with my brother both off the shore and on our kayaks(prowler 13 love it).
Last season i was realy pleased too get a new pb. 9lbs fat perfectly formed bar of silver off the top on my all time favorite plug, patchinko in yellow(Bob Jamesons plug).
A few favourites:
Plugs-
Topwater- yellow Patchinko.
Shallow diver- Tide Minnow 120 Surf Silver/White
Med Diver- Lucky Craft Flash Minnow Ghost Green
Deepish Diver-Any X-rap(this might change, got a zonk for next year)
Soft Plastic-6 and 7-1/2 slug-go(got some x-layers for crimbo)
Rods-
St Croix Legend Inshore 7ft long med wieght. Perfect for finnese(sp.s, small surface lures), and great on the kayak.
Rod bar 240. Powerfull, light wieght, perfect for patchinko work off the shore.
Reels-
Stradic 4000 FI.(US of A model). Good value Great drag.
A quick thanks too mic ward(Mr Fish) for providing a great range of gear thats just not available locally,
and for geeting my Baby Patchinkos here in time for my Bday. Also a special mention too henry gilbey, inspiring
photography, great blog(please do some new tv shows, i'm fed up with total fishing2006).
(I know neither of these guys personnally and i don't care if any one thinks i'm "plugging" for them!!)
Any how thanks again too everyone on here, great blog and all the best for the coming season.
Lets hope for clear sea's and plenty of baitfish, the rest should take care of itself.
I'll leave it at that for now(my typing is beyond slow).
