Brilliant !

How did you get those to mould so well.
What plastics did you use ?
Practice!

I used RTV silicone to make the mold
and then plastisol for the lures themsleves
I have a PDf with details of how to make the molds
if I can find it i'll post it or post a link

I love that sandeel xlayer clone at the top, I reckon that'd be a killer in some places round here. Do you put the rattles in and use any aniseed scenting?

yep
same style rattles in my x-layers as in the originals
(I put them in my tiny x-layers as well - which the originals didn't)
and aniseed scent (sometimes crab and schrimp scent as well)

mmm aniseed

The clear head are used in finesse situations (clear water, flats, spooky fish) to where you want the illusion of bulk but not a fast sink
they are actually pretty deadly and add about 0.5-0.75 g to the weight of your lure
i like them especially from my kayak where long distance casts aren't needed

the clones are basically the same firmness although i have made some softer and some harder too
just for giggles and laughs
they work just as well as the originals but at a cost of about 20 cent each

Keith lureandmore is a great site worth joining!

i'm organising a link for the pdf to be downloaded as well

I know the dealers must hate these threads but I love em.

We don't embrace custom lures in Britain and we are losing out.

There is some stunning stuff out there.

That looks like amazing fun!

Can't wait for part 2, pouring the plastic.

If I can make Sayori Shad copies I'll be a happy bunny.

Any issues with a paddle tail? They do have a flat top.

Exactly what I was thinking! I have one Aji left and I'm scared of losing it lol. Think it would be do-able may just need to pin the paddle tail up with a cocktail stick or bit of metal

Hi Nick
Where did you get hold of the plastisol as I have been wanting to make my own SP for a while, but been unable to find anybody that's supplies it.

Thanks
