this is a question for the guys making home made sp's.

surley hot molten plastic can be quite dangerous, do you wear any saftey gear what precautions do you take?

It's certainly hot stuff Callum! I wear long, thick gardening gloves and have a through draft flowing through - I'm lucky to have a mate who has a microwave in his greenhouse who doesn't mind me using it.

I wear welders gloves bought cheap on ebay I either use a twin electric hob outside or the spare microwave when the wife is not around

Same as for making leads. I stole the microwave (she didn't use it anyway) and it's in the shed, door wedged open and the more wind coming through the better.

It's like napalm when molten, very very hot and very very sticky.

nice one guys i was just wandering thanks its still sounds a bit hairy maybe im too much of a softie myself
