Hi

Was out at the weekend and noticed that my saltwater x-rap 12 suspending doesn't really suspend at all. It comes back up to the surface quite quickly so its not far off a floater and my Flashminnows also end up back on the surface too.

Whats the best stuff to use to weight them down a bit more so they either hang in the drink or sink really slowly.

I was guessing a few turns of copper wire on the trebles?? Any hints?

Ta in advance.

Hi Mate,

That is because the vast majority of lures sold ((even those stated as salt water (salt water meaning they have salt water hooks)) are designed for fress water which is not as boyant as salt water.

Keith White is your man for tuning plugs and I think that some time this year he will be doing some video stuff on plug tuning.

Thanks chaps - a lot of stuff there!

Will get some sticky lead strip and try adding it to the underside of the lure body (not the hooks) and just test it out down the beach.

Cheers
Dan
