    Evening all,
I've only been on here a day and already my 'gast' has been 'flabbered' by the goodwill and and advice I've received. So glad I've joined up.
Anyway I'm hoping to hit Anglesey soon and i'll be armed with a HTO 1-7g rod and a HTO 8-20g setup.
I'd love to know if theres a place I could go with the lighter gear, maybe to drop shot down a harbour wall and bag a few mini species? Also maybe an 'easy' venue to throw out the heavier stuff from the rocks and see how I go?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
    cheers...
    JK :vdrunk:

Thanks Daniel, excuse my ignorance, but it's all new to me ... are they venues for the lighter set up and the little fish ? Or the heavier set up?

For the dinky fish down the side mate. Youll get the odd decent wrasse too.

Dont do it myself, but seen plenty catch LRFing there.

Jason, not sure how you are fixed for LRF stylee lures, but get yourself some Berkley Gulp Sandworm in the 2 inch size (if you haven't already). Absolutely deadly for all species you are likely to catch in the harbour/breakwater venues. Fish em on small jighead. I sometimes use small lumo jig heads this time of year after dark for a bit of added attraction. Tight lines.

Menai bridge pier has a few minis when the uni boat is out.

For the wrasse and pollack there are loads of marks in the mackerel rock area and around the ringbolt. Also ty croes has some nice wrasse and other small stuff. This time of year I'd probably go holyhead breakwater. Amlwch should have good shelter in any West winds.

I'll be on the lookout for some lumo jigheads ... what weight would you suggest?

Something like this Jason. I'm using 2g size 6 or 8 hook at the moment depending on tide/wind strength etc. Berkley, Snowbee and Hart do this particular style which I like and work well with the smaller LRF lures.

Menai Bridge Pier , you will catch all sorts of fish there .

Just drop your lures next to the piles and twitch away . Plenty of Isome etc.. to be had at ABC tackle in Beumaris .
