Si, get yourself down to tacklesmart and have a shufty....something light and flexi until you know why it must be the supermix or the injection or the super distance.....accept 2nd best till then bud :twisted:Lewisman said:I think i may need a little inexpensive s/p rod to try & get me up and running - as i suspect that my Shukan may be a little too stiff ?? Any recommendations for something reasonable to get me off the ground?

Nope, but I'm about to upset a few here maybe with this..........buy cheap and buy twice......get the rod you know will work, its not like your gonna sell all those sp's you've got is it and you just won't be able to get the results you crave without it :shock:Lewisman said:Are you trying to goad me into getting something Red Si !!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
Si, He gives me exactly the same advice....buy cheap and buy twice...... I know he wants one, I know he will get one and probably soon, he just needs a good enough excuse. So Simon just buy the bloody RED ROD so I can have a go !!!!! You know it makes sense.softie said:Nope, but I'm about to upset a few here maybe with this..........buy cheap and buy twice......get the rod you know will work, its not like your gonna sell all those sp's you've got is it and you just won't be able to get the results you crave without it :shock:Lewisman said:Are you trying to goad me into getting something Red Si !!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!
Get a super distance mate, then let me have a waggle, I'll get the injection and let you look at it and wonder if its any better than the super distance
That looks like a nice piece of kit Vidar. One question though, the description seems to indicate that it is very fast action (X-Fast). I thought i was after a softer action rod for the s/p's ?Vidar6 said:The Team Dragon rods are highly regarded and used by great many Scandinavian soft plastics anglers, which have been using these techniques for decades.

Somehow the complete misconception that fast or extra fast rods necessarily means stiff has managed to take hold. This is absolutely not the case and quit a few of my extra fast action soft plastics rods has a very limber tip but with a strong backbone, which is exactly you want for these techniques.Lewisman said:That looks like a nice piece of kit Vidar. No, I haven seen one but I know a couple of very good Swedish Zander anglers that use them for soft plastics techniques, and rate them very highly indeed.
