Irish bass closed season
This may seem a stupid question, but why is the closed season in place between 15th May & 15th June each year, why specifically those dates & not at another time????
I'm just curious & I cannot seem to find an explanation why this period has been selected.

I thought that they would have spawned a few weeks ago in deeper water.

nigel this is the debate did they spawn in deeper water already some believe they have spawned but its no harm to give the bass a few weeks break anyway.
