I was reading somewhere about a fishing comp where the guy who won was using charts of the area he was fishing.

Are there any charts for the seabed of Jersey ? I guess there must be some form of chart that boat owners use.
I assume it is not all left to electronics and sight ?

If anyone knows where I can get hold of these charts if they exist that would be most helpful

There are tons of charts available.
Tidal stream, Admiralty, OS map, Digimap (local and expensive), Google Earth etc but bottom detail ? Not to my knowledge.
You'd need radar mapping which would cost millions.

Nothing beats getting in and under the water yourself really.
You should join us on a recon dive. As far as the SE gutters go, I have a home made tidal stream map that is very useful alongside the OS map.

He may be building up "maps" using side sonar and 3d mapping available on high end sounders?
