Hi all,
I would be grateful if someone could recommend a laptop suitable for editing my gopro stuff.
My current laptop is six years old the graphics card isn, t up to it.
Between 500- 700 quid.
Thanks.

I would look for a Macbook pro...I changed to one last year and goPro footage which took over an hour on my windows machine was converted in less than 4 minutes. They just work better. Slightly more expensive but don't forget that the equivalent of office in included in the operating system. Mine has never crashed and the battery lasts so much longer than windows. I wouldn't go back to a windows laptop now.

There are some crazy deals on laptops being advertised on TV so bound to be something within your budget Paul

I have found that vids from my GoPro play back best with the Apple Quicktime media player rather than MS Media player

So if you don't buy a Macbook, probably best to install Quicktime anyway and I have found that on my PC with an intel quad Core i7 chip that it handles editing 1080p and 2.7k footage admirably without a souped up graphics card
