Took a half day from work today seeing that I had to work all through last weekend and this weekend as well and missing a lot of good fishing, so I decided to go for a 2 hour session on my boat and fish the last of the ebb using Shads and Sidewinder blood red Mackerel Sp,s,... I was rewarded with a few nice Bass but the better reward came in the last half hour with a nice 7.5 ib fish which fell to a slowly worked Sidewinder.

Unfortunately Daz... that one cut a Gill and ended up coming home with me but the others were returned and swam off

I would like to add that I take a few Shads rigged with various jig head sizes when I go lure fishing ,they vary from 3.5grms to 10grms and it,s all to do with the varying strengths of the tide,heavy when the tide is strong and going lighter as the tide eases off .

As you can see my favourite or most productive colour has been pearl white , these shads are worked very slowly either bounced down the tide or across it with very slight twitches.
