Nice fish well done. I have caught flounder to 1.5lbs on LRF style kit but not recently. Try as hard as i might they seem to have all but disappeared locally.
Brilliant new Ry  . There's a bunch of us in Wales that plan on cracking these guys on light gear . . . . . superb to hear of your success .
That is brilliant, I know a spot over here (St Aubins harbour) that is definately ideal for trying LRF for Flounder. Well done Ry that is excellent, I bet they go well.
great fed up wiv baited spoons details would be great loads in fowey river down here .they fight well on carp rods must have been good on lrf stuff well done mate
Thanks for this post. I was only speaking to Dan and Callum recently about targeting flounder but I was thinking of bait so, you've got me thinking............
Method was bouncing the little white ripple shad with red tail along some mud/sand flats at night. The retrieve was slow lifting the bait no more than a few inch's from the deck with some pauses of a second or 2 here and there. It was a good solid hit and a frantic fight on UL gear.
Very Nicely done Ry,
I was talking to Mike K only last night about having a hunt around for a good flounder mark. Fair play landing it on LRF gear, just goes to show what LRF gear is capable of handling.
Is it a Plaice with the orange spots on ths fins? (I apologise - it has been over 20 years since I have caught flatties!) well done on the flattie either way!
