Yup, when I saw them a couple of weeks ago they immediately was put on my 2010 to buy list :jump: :jump:

Unfortunately, for my bank account not only the new lures was taking my fancy and I’m now officially in love with the 2010 edition of the Pagani rod :wackit: :wackit:

You're 2-up you scumbag!

...been taking my eye off the ball the past couple of weeks!! :muttley: :wackit:

Look amazing though! What could be nice about them is that because they're wider than the Press baits, they might still be long casting but could also sink a bit slower - which will be nice!

Before we all go rushing to buy one I'd suggest reviewing lures in it's class as obviously,
as yet, all we have are pictures of the megabass one.

You can't review from a photograph, only speculate.

So, anyone fished with anything remotely similar ?

I speculate a use for the lure, it looks fine but testing can often prove or disprove
speculation in surprising ways.

I still want one though.

I'd imagine that'll be a 'no' mate. Assuming it's a fatter, rounder version of a normal jig minnow.... what else is there that's actually like it? (I know there must be something somewhere, but nothing usually found by us over here?!).

...although saying that, I guess its similar to the IMA Honeytrap etc etc - just more refined.

You may be right.

I was inquiring because quite alot of money from the guys on this forum ends up in the hands
of the Japanese lure sellers.

Maybe, just maybe, someone, somewhere, has something similar.
It is rare for a company to have unique dib's on a lure design. For long anyway.

Note that I say I like the look of them and that I want one (several) - I am not reviewing a lure that I and nobody else I know have ever used. As far as I am aware it is not even on the market yet. And much as I would like MegaBass to send me all their lovely looking gear for "testing" before it ever hits the shelves, that ain't about to happen..........

But if the lure does what I reckon it will, and that is to sink and flutter that bit more slowly than the Duo Press Bait Kamuy, then I reckon it might do really well in certain situations.

Ben, glad you are keeping score !! Some properly squirrel potential in the near future...........

Henry:

I wasn't directing anything toward your blog m8. I know it's a heads up, not a review.
I just know how excitable lure anglers get when they smell new blood on the horizon.

As we know little about this one other than the , wow, look at this factor, I'm erring on the
side of cautionary purchase until we know what it does.

If it came over wrong, accept my apologies.

Henry: No worries m8,lets forget it. Misunderstanding and all that.

Guys:

I know it is not the same but, heavy articulated head...

If the megabass lure holds it's line after a sweep,It might be partially steerable ?

like this...

Keith,

That is an awesome lure, have you tried one in Jersey for the Bass?

I ordered one Chris, quite a while before christmas.

Not here yet.

Mr Isaacs was working on an articulated head but, lipped.
Still with the line tie behind though like on the triggerfish.

He may have finished it already. I'll ask.

They do look very good Keith! Keep us posted!!

Here's a video of the Megabass. Crappy detail but a bit more 3 dimensional than just the pic. Nice bit of Drowning Pool in the background as well... :muttley:
