Seems like this lure school thing will happen over here. Keith, Kevin, Myself and hopefully the Saint (mr soft) will be showing some guys the basics of lures and how to get different actions from them. I know its expensive but if any of you guys from the UK fancy it it sould be a good weekend.

Try and get somebody to video the pool sessions Mick, as they will be really helpful for newcomers to the sport such as myself,

cos apart from what i've picked up from the likes of Keith and Kev, i don't know jack sh1t about how to "really" get a lure working, and i've got a need to learn more and more and more.

I will defo be videoing it all, with my decent video camera too. I will chop it into sections and eaither youtube it or put it on discs for everyone. It'll be cool, we have some underwater cameras available too.

Excellent stuff, can't wait to see some of the stuff that K & K are teaching..

There maybe an answer for us that live away from you, if there is interest from guys who will travel over for the Jersey meet next year perhaps you could organise a lure school on the Thursday before the festival starts ? Another good excuse to go and travel a day early !!!

As soon as you have any dates in mind please let me know this sounds too good to miss and I would be very interested. I’ve found over the years that there is no substitute for practical demonstration and mentoring, oh yes the first round will be on me.

Steve I am hoping this years (2010) bass festival will have a week long theme about it, teech ins, reccies, fishing trips, boat trips with luck on the weathers side, drink or two, island tour of the best bacon butty houses etc.

I am willing to take as much time off as possible to make any visitors week a very shirley bassy week indeed.

Just to let everyone know..

I've got some great idea's for these schools.

I reckon that a sea-water seminar is going to be way easier and probably better.

This way, we won't be pushed for room and everyone can practice in groups.

There WILL be a session, or two, around a pool.

Thanks to Mick at Mr Fish and the loan of a small outdoor pool, we can start to move ahead.
Dates are yet to be finalised but, early to mid March is the target for either a Sun morning or afternoon.

Ok, please understand, this is basics with but a few techniques thrown in to whet your appetite.

Numbers will be limited to perhaps a dozen. There may be a repeat session held soon after if numbers spill over.

So, first come, first served.

You will need to add your name to a list in MrFish.

Hopefully, Mick will haver some new stuff from Nante's we can play with too.

Don't forget the SP harbours race on 20th March and the Lure Bumble on the 25th April.

Loads happening, get involved. See you there.

A tripod may be a better idea, I do't think anyone would want to be underwater when I start cranking a lure around. LOL

Only a small pool guys, accuracy essential so a tripod might be the ticket.
