My cousin wants to have a play at plugging and is looking to spend as lil as possible on a rod and reel.

Any recommendation for under £100 inc reel etc?

I've got a Greys GRXi 10ft 4 pce travel rod that I'll part with for half a ton. Caught me several bass like creatures and a good starting point.

If you have a hunt around on the internet, you might be able to find a 2009 model Bushwhacker 8'6" for about £50. Great rod for the money. And you should be able to find a reel like a shimano Exage 4000FB , or a diawa Exceller 3000 for about £50. Nice balanced outfit, mine served me well.
