The kids are in bed and I've had me tea so here's my lure collection. Is there anything I could be do with adding?

I've probably got far too many SG sandeels. My tackle shop has a big pick and mix shelf which works out cheap so I spend a couple of quid every time I'm in. They are my favourite pollock lure. Last year we had them jumping out of the water for them up the Mog.

Plenty of good stuff there Andy, I'd say if you don't catch on what you've got then its just that they aren't there that particular day.

Andy ,you will only need the patches and the komomos in our area the water isn't deep enough for savage gear sandeels or fish minnows ,weedless weightless is the way to go if you want fish soft plastics

Cheers Brent. I'll keep the SG eels for up the borders. I had a fiiish Bm. Had nowt on it compared to the SG eels. Just need to resist buying more lures till I've lost some.

If you want to know if the mark holds bass, stick a surface lure out and cover as much ground as possible. Look for the boils and swirls behind your lure. You may not get a hook up but if bass are there they will investigate a surface lure. Massive confidence boost to just see fish. I've found surface lures one of the most effective ways of catching bass in shallow water.

    Agree,

Bass will wait for the baitfish to exit the gullies as the tide drops. And as stated above, its a lot safer.

I've found the joker flashing plate deadly at night, always produces with a very slow retrieve, a very good lure indeed. In fact most of my better fish have fallen to komomo's.

I'm relatively new to soft plastics but the weedless weightless method Brent mentioned is excellent. Chuck them into pretty much anything without snags. Brent is deadly using them, I'm sure he'd catch a bass in the bath.

I don't think I can add much to this andy. The ground your looking at looks good, the advice the lads are giving is great and the lures in your box look spot on. good luck.

Looks good to me. If there is any weeds about just give the spot a try. Fish it different times of the day from low to high and, my preference, from high till low. Use different lures and find out what the bass want on a specific tide with specific conditions. Stay on a few spots and don't change to quick.

Also look out for water clarity. On some of my spots dead calm + christal clear water + small topwaters = fish on! Your spot may well need some onshore wind, who knows. Find out, be rewarded and feel good about it.

Good luck on catching your first bass. Don't give up and they will come.

Productive bass marks don't come easy on the north east coast .my bit of advice would be to protect there locations especially when you start catching fish
Don't take pics with land marks in or features that would give your marks away .
Good luck on your journey to catching your first bass
