So you have fished the Vineyard?? I love the place, especially during Derby time. Have you ever bumped into a guy called Cooper Gikes?? He runs a bait and tackle shop just outside Edgartown. Coop is a absolute legend, every time I thought I had finally caught a good fish, he would smile and show me one 5lb or more bigger. I learnt so much from Coop's night time sessions and Jamie Boyle during the day. Cape Poge Gut and Squibnocket Beach are about as close to fishing heaven as I have ever found.
Not many places in the world where you can (and do) catch Striped bass, Bluefish, Weakfish, False Albercore, Bonito, Spainsh Mackerel, Fluke, (and spider crabs & Terns-don't ask!!) in a day. Especailly as all you need is the know how-free fishing rocks.
