lads, lets assume your going to a new mark you've never fished before, all you've been told is that it's shallow, a lot of boulders about 4ft diameter, and plenty of weed. Weather could be blowing a bitch in your face or could be flat calm, what would be in your armour for this mark and why ?

Feed Shallows, Duo DC9 Bullet, Lucky Craft Slim Pointer 125ssr, All good SHALLOW runners that cast well.
In clearer areas I would also fish Diawa Shoreline shiners, Megabass X120, and maybe try Duo SLD-F 125 as well.

I'm a big fan of the Rapala MaxRaps too, shallow running, nice action and cast like bullets. They also have a great finish and are £15.99 which isnt bad considering.

Dare I say it....yeah I'd also have a Zonk out too, gotta be in it to win it. Hold the rod high and dont crank too quick, you can really feel Zonks on the retrieve and in my experience (limited I grant you) they tend to bounce off large boulders, just have to watch the weed but whatever you chuck out will have this problem...

hi Chad, I found a maxrap in my local tackle shop, which is really unusual as they only keep the most basic of tackle. My one is the smaller 1/2oz size in a pearly sort of finish. I couldn't believe how well it cast and it has a really nice wiggle action. I just know that it is going catch big time.
