Hi guys. Primarily a freshwater angler, with an interest in specialist Angling for Tench, Perch, Chub and Barbel. Also a member and RO of The Tenchfishers.
Really love Mullet fishing, cand recently got the bug for soft plastics, mainly lure fishing for Wrasse or Bass.
Need to find some new spots for Wrasse fishing locally !!

Hi Chris and welcome. I've been finding the Tench difficult not to target recently due to there fighting ability as well as there beauty. All very new to me this year, as is most fishing in freshwater to be honest. I've recently purchased a couple of specialist rods that can take a screw in swingtip. I've found out this is old school, but that pretty much sums me up. Can't wait to test them out, maybe with a Tench.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the welcome ! Great to hear that you're targeting Tench. Swingtipping may be old school, but it is a very good, sensitive method of bite detection. Quite a few of the Tenchfishers use it still, and it's very effective. With running rigs being used so infrequently these days, it can prove deadly for fish that are wary of bolt rigs.
All the best Mark !
