It simply is not fair of you to post things like this............!! Not that I like Stellas or anything like that.
Ive been converted to the Daiwa high end reels. :spoo:
Not long ago I would have been salaveting over that picture, but no longer (well just a bit) :muttley:
I just think the Daiwas are better made :)

I too have a huge soft spot for Daiwa spinning reels, but the Stella has always been (and still is) an object worthy of desire.
2009 was a rubbish year for JDM tackle releases, but already 2010 seem much, much more exiting

Long before the Japanese tackle shows in February, where the bulk of new stuff will be introduced, I have seen a few rods and reels that have ended up on my to-buy list. I have a horrible feeling that this is going to be an expensive year :bangin: :bangin:
Going from a purely shallow and aesthetic point of view, I prefer the look of Daiwas! Would love a Stella though, a reel doesnt get that many followers across the world without being something special.
2009 was OK for JDM releases - Stella and TwinPower SW which are both staying the same for 2010 afaik (the TP certainly is ...)

Personally I would always go for Shimano over Daiwa - Shimano have made some of the best top end MTB gear sets that have definately set the standard over the last 20 years so I have absolute faith in their high end products ... I am just about to splurge over some new Stella's in Feb fingers crossed!
Vidar, last time you stuck up a thread like this I hit the buy button and ended up £360 worse off, Japanese shop keepers must love you. Bad man.
