I went for a quick session at Corbiere today at about 18:00.
I did not have much time and also was just in the car so did not think of the wind.
Well I got there and figured it is not ideal but hey this is the only chance I will get today let's have a crack.
First cast with a now upside down rigged xslayer, bang (well more a tickle) fish on my very first day time pollack so I was chuffed. My HRF rod was way to big for it, it was really a LRF size fish.
A few casts later the was another tickle so I set the hook, as I lifted the end of the line out the water I thought I had caught some seaweed. But I had been sure it was a bite. As I got a better look I realised I had landed a new species for me. Now I don't even know what it was so if someone would like to inform me that would be great.
Also how many others have had on of these on HRF/LRF techniques
So a fun hour on the rocks no Wrasse :-( but still super fun.
Really nice to be able to catch with the sun still up bring on the summer.
