Been catching on the Laydown minnows recently Bob! Very, very, very good! No weight shifting system, but they have a stabalizer under the diving vane that keeps em stable. They definitely cast alright. The huge advantage to this (no weight shifting system) is that they fish extremely well at low speed, and start doing their business from a standstill rather than taking a few winds of the handle to get going - like lots with shifting systems do. The finish on them is also superb - almost rapala type of hardness to them is about the only way I can describe. I've bashed them about on the rocks all over the place and apart from a few tiny chips, they're perfect. Once you get it in to your head that they're actually so good because they go against the weight-shifting grain... ;-)
