first trip out this morning,
5 am and theres FROST on the van!
get to the mark, north-easterly blowing straight into my face, and its stregthening.
visabilitys o.k tho, well its an estuary so its never great.
10 mins later, after all the new lures have had a swim on goes a patchinko,
8 inches of tip section slides down the leader onto its nose!
fished on with a spare rod till the water turned to choclate and it started raining.
trip over!
On the positive side, its one blank out of the way towards the first fish.
and better the rod goes at a local mark than when i,m on holiday in cornwall.
I still cant wait to get out and do it all again!
GREAT ISNT IT!

It's session like that, that'll make the good'uns feel all the sweeter !!!
Hi, wish it would warm up!! have taken 6 bass so far this season on the feed shallow on the estuary near to where i live in essex. Intersted to hear from a fellow essex lure fisherman.
Sorry to hear about the rod, but the rest sounds just like any number of trips this year for me. Hold it - so does the broken rod part as well!

Hi first fish of the season taken may 1st, Iam lucky as i live within walking distance of my favourite marks. So usually manage to get out to fish, work permitting 4 days a week.
