I received my new OG2100 fish grip just a few days ago and here are my initial thoughts.

The grip with its combination of machined aluminium and injection-moulded plastic is incredible light, but at the same time surprisingly solid. Due to its construction the grip seems very easy to clean and maintain, and a full range of spare parts are even available.

It is very comfortable and easy to operate one-handed and the grip jaws are well rounded rendering it safe for the fish as possible.

All in all, I’m very pleased and foresee years of service from from the grip :clap: :clap: :clap:

Is that the £150+ one? I was looking at the cheaper version, but even that one is over the ton, not sure whether could be justified, especially as I still use a net some of the time.

The cost was around 15,900 JPY (£113) including shipping from Plat

I have to be honest and say it was more curiosity rather than actual need that made me buy it, but now I have received it I’m pleasantly surprised over the grips construction and build :jump: :jump:

That did not take too long to arrive £113 del .. thats not bad , i must say i like it , very much a nice compact piece of kit .
Fit a lanyard to it , so as not to drop it in the sea .

Why may i ask did you not go for the heavy duty pair Vidar ,

Simply because I already have a Lipper grip with built-in scales and I wanted something more lightweight for roaming angling.
