I have been carrying this lure with me on my rare daytime sessions waiting for the right opportunity to use it.
Its 28g and as you can see I have replaced the treble with a clouser.

After about five casts yesterday this feisty bass took an interest - result.

Nice result.....diamond jigs and bucktail are used to good effect by US surfcasters from what I've read.

A proper result there Gareth , just goes to show that you don't need all the latest fancy gear to catch bass ;).

    Gary ,
Probably a bit of both ,can we classify that lure as another hybrid.

It would not work without the other kind of thing .

Reminds me about the old Wrecking days , where a plain Chrome Pirk would be out fished by a dresses Pirk that had a Orange or Red Muppet over the Treble .

    well done............

ps..................old school still works fine ...............ive had a 6.25 lber this year on a 28g copper toby............................
