went out on fri and took a 3lber on a new mark on an sls, flat calm
with northerly winds in bright sunshine..yesterday i went to a sand
mark that has a lovely swell with a sw wind and produced another
3lb fish on a jackson athlete..i lost another at my feet..my fishing
buddy mark took 8 on this mark on fri nite with a zonk under the
moonlight...funny thing about this weekend is that the tides were
the weakest of the month at 3.1m.i have noticed that iv had
super fishing this year on weak tides..funny that ehh..

Hi Michael, I have also had some super fishing during neaps. Just goes to show there's many factors involved............

Well done. I managed to get out yesterday it was slower than 'usual' but had one follow at the start of the session and managed to land a fish of close to 5lbs on a Zonk just before having to pack up. Anyway, the point is that the three days I have fished since arriving in Cork have been during weak tides and I caught at low tide on all days, with one day proving exceptional, (at least in my inexperienced book!).

So as you say it can be "super fishing" on neaps...
