haha, i left some of my softies in a bag since i havent been using them and just took a look at some of them... with one red one in the bag, all of the others have melted with it and all turned red... looks quite wierd, none of the plastics below had any red in them at all originally.

also i have an albino sluggo that had melted with a pepper chartruese one, which looks pretty cool lol.

this leads me to the question, does anyone do this on purpose?

Not on purpose in my case because I would worry that the reaction is going to be more violent and ruin the lures.

It has happened to me with some white XLayers that had a fight with a nasty red Berkley worm and came away with bloody chins.
They worked fine.

Nice to see another SP thread.
I'm not always so neat with my sp baits and yes, I have often fished softies that
have bled or been bled upon. I have thought about creating mutants on occasion
but so far, never gotten around to it.

most of the time i do forget to separate, the baits end up a mass that resembles 'The Blob'
and often, an expensive blob at that.
kieth, do you mean that the shape of the lures have changed? not just the colour?...

i think that xlayer looks quite good now its red, instead of clear/grey lol... the actual colour of it is more vibrant than in that picture because i took it with my crappy webcam which is all i have in uni...
had plenty over the years that have bled out, still catch on them though.

kev :wackit:

Oh yea, sometimes lures melt together and they are literally inseparable without ripping them.
Lures can change shape, getting thinner, squashed, tails offset..

It's nuts how some Frankenstein lures can have great actions. Loose it though and
they are irreplaceable
ha that is wierd, none of mine have changed shape, the tail on a jellyworm thing has gone bubbly a bit but still fine...

could be a useful trick for getting your sp's to change to colours that the makers dont do...

Good thread Ben :D I have ammased quite a few SP's these last couple of weeks, and will maybe mix some together and see what I come up with :jump:
yeah, something to do instead of revision anywho... :badlol:

adding scents and colour could become quite an art i would imagine. would be nice to have a slight cloud of 'blood' coming out the back of a soft plastic lol. i have seen ones that give off tiny silver scales... would be cool
