Went out for a brief (2 hour) session this afternoon and third cast 5lb 8oz bass taken on the surface with a Tackle House Feed Popper - holographic silver and red head.
Really pleased , feels like the pressure is off a little for some reason and pictures to follow when my mate emails me them.

Cast out......Big swoop to cause big disturbance....rest.........another big swoop to cause more disturbance.............rest...........fish missed once..........little "chugs" then rest........fish missed again.........let the plug rest again...........hit!..............thought the fish was small because it kept missing (inexperienced fish)..........then felt the weight and knew it was better. Good fight overall and the fish took a long time to recover before it slid away nicely back into the water.
I witnessed another lad yesterday plugging as he took one 10lb 3.5oz off the top as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Could be a good season!!!!
Just chased me mate up for the photo's he will be sending them tomorrow. Do I have to open a photobucket account or can I do it without?
On WSF I didn't need a photobucket account to post images

A 10lb off the top sounds very cool!

You can import images as an attachment or from a file. Don't use photobucket: they get filtered out and I can't see them when I'm at work!! ;-)

I am having problems uploading photo's at the moment as my mate sent me the email with attachments and they are 3mb each. When I open them up with windows picture and fax viewer (because they have not been sent to me in a jpeg format they are still too large 739kb.
If anyone can help let me know I am willing to email the picture if that would help?

I was up and at em at 4.45am yesterday. Went to the mark where I opened my account a fortnight ago, got soaked in the rain, frozen to the bones, blanked and lost a plug because my leader had very very slightly frayed and I was too cold, lazy and wet to tie on a new one. Muppetry.

Still enjoyed it though.

Outstanding stuff Nigel, that is some fantastic fishing.

Look for a free "photo resizer" on Google - FastStone is a very good one that is easy to use - try resizing to about 640 pixels along the longest edge and that is usually fast to load up etc.
