I have spent four hours fishing (fly rod) in perfect conditions & walked about three miles with my mate Phil "the fly" & we didn't catch a thing.
There where about a dozen seals close in spread out along the shore line that we walked, we saw some big (10lb ish) sea trout & lots of smaller ones within six feet of the shore, (that's why the seals are there).
But Phil who always catches on the fly was water beaten :-(
The rods might be going on e-bay at this rate.

That's serious stuff Nige, I don't feel quite a so bad about my round-island blank the other day now!
