I had a look at the Bent Minnow in other day, now I had thought it was just a dead with the odd twitch type of lure, but having seen the video it has a few other things you can do with it. The faster twitched retrieve looks great and should get some responce from high summer bass. I do like lures that allow you to do several different things with them. Much better value for money. Great video as well, it shows not only the lure, but what the fisherman is doing to generate that action.
Oh and if you like that, check out the action of the OSP Yamato and Yamato Jnr, Very clever lure, again with several different things you can do with it. Well worth checking out.

Check out the action from about 2:30 on the vid, had me reaching for the tissues!!!!

Yes I have a couple of these.

Along with a batch of other stuff they are in the test phase.
To be honest, these look great. From the skish, they'll be useful and from the boat but, up until recently I doubted their application amongst most lure anglers.

Seeing how easily many have made the transition to smaller and way lighter soft lures, I may have to re evaluate my thoughts.

Actually looks killer on top and is quite easy to work.

Not one for heavy braids though. I tested on 8lb.

I've got one too. They could be really useful lures at times I think. Probably one for calmer days, you can do quite a lot with them! Dead slow with plenty of pauses they'll dip and dive around the surface, while any steady retrieve has them moving in a more traditional way - and looking very good with it! I was unsure how well they'd cast but no problems there either!

I like the look of the Yamato, thankyou Harold.

Expect a phone call on payday ****...! Does anybody know of similar lures to the Bent Minnow in the 15-30g bracket?
