My name is Mick and I am a plug addict.

I have been using for 15 years now, I started dabling a bit when I was younger, you know, when around mates, showing off etc. I used to get so excited when I saw new plugs that I hadnt tried, they just looked so great and my cravings couldnt take it any more. I soon realised that cheap plugs just didnt give me the buzz I was looking for anymore, so I started to spend money that I didnt have just to get the best plugs about. Yes it was fun at first, living the high life, showing off to my mates and looking the bees knees with all my great gear. But soon it took its toll, my ex wife would cry saying its me or the plugs, I ended up losing my flat, my shed (I still miss that shed), my daughter, my cats everything. I was alone, in a cold bedsit, with plugs, this is when it got really bad. I would sit there polishing my plugs just trying to get them to be as shiney as they used to be, but no matter what I did it just wasnt the same. So, I started selling plugs just to be able to keep getting a good supply, I hope my late mother forgives me for becoming a plug dealer but it worked, albeit at the distruction of my friends lifes, I do feel bad but a man has to live, so I am sorry to any of you guys that are where I was a few years ago.

This is why I am here, to admit the problem, to stand amoungst you and be able to say aloud "I am a plug addict".

Classic

Funny how we (OK I) get so excited by bits of fishy shaped plastic. I guess it that search for the wonder plug that will catch bass every time, or the search to find lures that will fill gaps in action or depth amoungst those we already have.
Haven't lost the shed or the cats, but I really need to slim the selection for next year, several boxes at home and select what is needed for the marks I will fish that day.

Yeah, ok I own up, I am Tunny and I am an plug addict. I even had to ring Mick's brother to get a fix yesterday.

PMSL..

My name is Marc, and i am an addict, i have been using the hard stuff for five months now, and i am trying my best to keep it under control but theres a new thing on the scene called SP's, and the problem with these are, they seem cheaper than the Hard stuff but are just as addictive,

at the moment i seem to have my habit held at a reasonable level, but i can see it expanding to dangerous levels once the weather improves in the springtime. I just pray that i can keep it to a tolerable level, as the apparatus that is required to use these intoxicating substances is rather expensive, and for each habit you acquire, a new bit of apparatus is also required to allow yourself to indulge.. :(

I maybe on the edge here, I see lures everywhere, when I'm awake (Ok, half awake :D ), when I'm asleep even when I'm on the pan

Was sitting there yesterday (pre shower & Shave if you get the drift) and something caught my eye, a white and Chartreuse lure, or potential, next to it was a blue and white one and then a clear and white one. Mmmmmm  So as I sat there contemplating - mmmm If you cut here, drilled here, a treble here, Ohhh this one has a Soft plastic Grip/ridges for extra water disturbance. hang on,
(Sink Fills) damn, Ok it aint salt water but!

The yellow and blue float and the clear one sinks, Head first, Excellent.

*~#' I need help

Introducing the BathHouse Teeth Shallow

Lets find out what it would be like if the Mrs wasnt there. The Marital bed

mmm not one is complaining of a headache or a fart, having said that I dont want any suprise piercings,
think they'll have to go back and join the SP's and freshwater lures.

Am I an addict? not far off, have been using the Freshwater scene as a patch to ween me off, but I think its having the opposite effect, help me :D

I got caught lining up my plugs on the toilet cistern in my local the other day.... The rolled up £20 pound note was because I was going to give them a damn good thrashing, Fawlty style for ruining my life. I'm on Plug Watch now

I love em and I don't care what the other forums think of me for having a passion for buying them.

Mossey you might laugh but when I was a kid my Dad used to do a lot of trolling with a big lead on a handline with a 30ft trace of mono and feathers or a Redgill. To join the trace to the handline he used to use a boom made out of ..... a toothbrush handle with a hole drilled in each end. A knot each side of the "boom" held it in place.

Simples.
