Been using the rapala max rap with some success but today when using it got into a real decent bass and the worst happened the hook bent and the fish got away .It comes originaly with Vmc hooks and I tought these should be ok maybe this was a one off .has anyone else had this problem and what would ye recommend I replace them with. Sounds like it was a good fish Allen. I use the vmc power trebles think there same hook as the ones one the rapala. Never had that problem but then i don't hit big fish! But must be a trade off as you can bend them out of snags. If your looking for a stronger hook cant see past owners..

Owners or Decoy are the way to go - don't trust VMC as far as I can throw em' (not far btw!)
