I have used Max raps extensively outside the UK.
In Greece (North of Greece – Khalkidhiki to Porto Lagos) on 11-15cm silver, sardine and yellow I catch sea bass with intensive jerking retrieve.
The 17cm Ayu is excellent for blue fish on straight fast retrieve.
In the Canaries – Fuerteventura – the 17 cm yellow is deadly for barracuda at night with any retrieve even dead sticking in choppy water, and the 17cm Ayu for blue fish early in the morning with jerk retrieve.

    Valdimir,
Many thanks for the tips over bluefish and Cuda. Would love to see some pics if you have any.

Sorry Vladimir, for some reason I can't see your picture. Shame about the other lost ones. I love bluefish (or Tailor) the thugs of the sea, aggressive to the point of stupid some days-Great fun.

biggest ones very good into a storm, found the action a bit wooden if its calm does go like a missle, beleive the casting of its suited to a longer bendy rod (like your new one) doesnt tumble then, 13cm works better when its less windy but it useless in any sort of wind, only tried the flake ayus tough lures too have snapped a lip on one.

Well I have a MaxRap11, first time out it scored a schoolie in the gutter behind the surf, cast OK (ish), action as others have said does leave a little to be desired, but it is definately a schoolie snack-They love it.
